Master Hsuan Hua

Master Hsuan Hua had a powerful impact on both Kittisaro and Thanissara who met him in both the UK and USA in the 1980’s. When some of the Masters Western disciples spent time at Chithurst Monastery in 1982, they inspired Kittisaro and Thanissara and other Forest School monastics to take up some of their Mahayana practices, in particular the Kuan Yin Dharmas which has become an integral part of practice at Dharmagiri.
